You may remember us talking about WAHMs in a previous post, but in case you missed it, WAHM stands for Work at Home Mom. It's a trend, and a pretty amazing one at that. Today, women are bringing home the bucks from home, doing all sorts of creative things like blogging, selling on Etsy, "kidsharing", and of course, renting out baby gear. The side hustle movement is here now, and we love to see new moms being empowered by it
We'd like to pay these super-powered mamas a little homage, so we're featuring five of our favorite WAHMs on the blog this month... Get inspired to start your own side hustle by these Insta-gamin', kid-slingin', multi-taskin', super-fly ladies!
We've mentioned this mama before, and we just can't get enough of her. Since opting to stay home to take care of her babies, Meg has worked a wide variety of gigs. Customer service, shop operations, marketing, managing podcasts, freelancing, designing, you name it and Meg's done it! We absolutely love "her little corner of the internet" and all the hard-earned WAHM wisdom she shares within.
We are so inspired by this particular mama. A military spouse and a dedicated mother of four, Lizann is also a beautiful, honest writer. She created her blog the Seasoned Spouse to support and share experiences with fellow military mamas, and her motto is simple, "We are all in this together!" A sentiment we share over here at FlyBaby HQ.
We love "this mama's" palpable joie de vivre and spirit of adventure. A natural born WAHM, when she's not momming hard, Candice writes an uplifting blog that sheds light on matters we can all relate to. A soon to be published author, her book "You've got this, Mama" is set to be released on Mother's Day. We can't wait to read it!
We were thrilled to team up with this mama recently, to talk babies, mat-leave, and the prospect of going back to work. The heartfelt blog post Renai wrote is one that we will always cherish. When it comes to momming, Renai tells it as it is, and the personal journey she shares on her blog Raising 'Em Wright will have you smiling, laughing, and nodding along in no time.
This mama's blog is so full of love—we just love it! Mathilde is blessed with an adorable little boy, who also happens to be the test subject for her awesome home business. Before choosing to stay home with her little, Mathilde was an animator, and now she uses that talent to create custom designed plush toys for babies, toddlers, and children. Way to go WAHMa!
So you see, there's a side hustle out there for mamas from all walks of life. That's part of why we started FlyBaby... To empower moms to help other moms, and to help themselves in the process.
